AT&T said it has made a series of executive appointments as it prepares to complete the acquisition of Time Warner (TWX), a media and entertainment company. The transaction remains under review by the United States Department of Justice and competition authorities in certain foreign countries.
Global Marketing Officer Lori Lee will assume leadership of the AT&T International unit, which provides mobile services in Mexico and pay-TV service across 11 countries and territories in Latin America and the Caribbean. John Stankey will assume the lead of AT&T’s Time Warner merger integration planning team. Stankey was previously CEO of AT&T Entertainment Group. John Donovan has been named CEO of AT&T Communications, which provides mobile, broadband and video services to U.S-based consumers. Donovan was previously chief strategy officer of AT&T Technology and Operations.
