JD.com Plans to Invest in Thailand

American depository shares of JD.com were barely higher pre-market Friday after Richard Liu, CEO of the China-based e-commerce firm, said the company plans to invest in Thailand by the end of 2017, according to a Reuters report.

Liu said the company plans to expand its footprint beyond Indonesia, which represents nearly all of the company’s current overseas business. Liu did not reveal how much the company would invest in Thailand, the report added.
